Woolacombe is a small village with some great amenities such as surf, food and clothes shops as well as takeaways, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs, not to mention the award winning Woolacombe Beach!

There is plenty to keep you busy on a holiday in North Devon, but first you need to decide whether you want to be on land or at sea!

If it’s a pet friendly holiday you are looking for then you’re in luck: not only are your pets welcome at Europa, but Woolacombe beach is one of few that allows man’s best friend to enjoy the beach all year round.

Many people choose North Devon holidays to explore the South West Coast Path, and there are plenty of fantastic walks local to Woolacombe. The stunning local area has lots to offer. Visit the quaint villages of Lynton and Lynmouth packed with independent art and gift shops, or take a trip out to Exmoor and lunch at the Hunters Inn, followed by a stroll to Headons Mouth.

If it’s a bit of retail therapy you are looking for head to Atlantic Village or Barnstaple High Street and Green Lanes Shopping Centre for a varied selection of popular shops such as Marks and Spencer and Monsoon.

The Tarka Trail route 27 takes you through some of North Devon’s most unspoilt countryside and is a must for keen cyclists. If you need to hire bikes you can do so in Braunton, and from there decide whether you want to go to Barnstaple, Bideford, Ilfracombe, or head back towards Woolacombe beach - it's your holiday!
